Autumn sunlight filters through the amber leaves rattling in the crisp breeze. Sapphire mountains loom in the distance, beyond a dark Colorado forest. After a gloriously slow afternoon, I spent the early evening taking a walk down to my favorite row of trees to enjoy the golden light of fall. I had to paint this feeling of coziness of mid autumn and excitement for the change of seasons.
