About Lauren Hanna
Lauren is a gouache and watercolor artist based in Colorado. She is the former Director of Public Relations for the Colorado Watercolor Society and has a distinguished career in Finance.
Her work has appeared in juried exhibitions throughout Colorado.
As an atelier-trained artist and lifelong learner, she takes an academic approach to her art: endless hours of reading, research, sketching, and formulating new ideas that take root and inspire her to reach new heights in painting.
On sunny days, she is out in the wilderness with her camera in hand, documenting her many adventures throughout the Western United States. On rainy days, she is in her studio with a cozy cup of coffee, painting and listening to audiobooks.

Next, I wanted to try to create a more muted version of this scene. I could really feel the temperature drop when I stood in the shadows at sunset, so I wanted to try and capture that feeling in my next painting.
Summer in the Studio
