Waves surge up the beach and crash on the distant shore and sea rock, with cool shadows hiding nests of seabirds and snoozing seals. This was the original inspiration for my larger work "Late Afternoon in Tillamook" juried in to the Colorado Watercolor Society's 2024 Inspirations Exhibition.
