Lauren has spent the last decade experimenting with watercolor and gouache, combining her love of painting and hiking in beautiful Colorado. She is the Director of Public Relations for the Colorado Watercolor Society and has a distinguished career in Finance. As lifelong learner, Lauren is continually inspired to bring her favorite subjects to life, as well as documenting her many adventures throughout the Western United States.

Otter Crest Beach
Next, I wanted to try to create a more muted version of this scene. I could really feel the temperature drop when I stood in the shadows at sunset, so I wanted to try and capture that feeling in my next painting.
